Fehmi Mert Günok (born 1 March 1989) is a Turkish footballer. He plays as a goalkeeper for Fenerbahçe in the Süper Lig.[1]
Early life and club career
Günok was born in Karabük. He started his career with Kocaelispor in 2000. Fenerbahçe transferred the young goalkeeper in 2001, and he played in the club's youth teams until 2009, when he was promoted to the senior team. Günok entered the 2010–11 season as the third-choice goalkeeper, behind Volkan Demirel and Volkan Babacan. However, after Babacan conceded seven goals in two pre-season matches, Günok was given a chance against K.R.C. Genk. Günok finished with a clean sheet, and was subsequently promoted to first backup. He made his league debut against Antalyaspor on 15 August 2010, coming on as a substitute for the injured Demirel at the beginning of the second half keeping a clean sheet for the rest of the match. Günok started the next two league matches against Trabzonspor where he conceded 3 goals and Manisaspor wher he conceded 2.[1]
